Welder Qualification Certification

  • Are you fabricating structural steel or sheet steel?
  • Is your shop fabricating pipe for air lines, water lines, chemical lines, or railings?
  • Does your fabrication process include making catwalks, machinery or building steel structures?

Per code, all of these items (and many more) require certified weld procedures and certified welders. The State of Wisconsin as well as many business owners also require certified weld procedures and certified welders to perform any welding. Over the years, TPS has assisted clients in writing welding procedures. These procedures can be written to comply with AWS Structural Steel Codes, ASME, Boiler & Pressure Vessel Codes, Nav-Ships, and Military Specifications.

  • Titanium
  • Aluminum
  • Inconel
  • Stainless Steel
  • Mild Steel

In addition to welding procedures, we can also assist you in certifying the welders against these procedures. Once the weld samples are made, we can perform bend tests, tensile tests, or macro etch as required. TPS has personnel who are certified weld inspectors and we are a certified weld test facility for the State of Wisconsin. We also have a computer-based client file, which will tell us when your welder certifications are due for renewal.
